The Hyperforma BlogMarch 29, 2015
I have had the privilege to work with and for some truly exceptional organisations in both employed and consultative roles across a number of industry sectors including technology, media, Banking, Insurance, Charities and Consulting. My career seems to have naturally aligned itself to Change where the source of the change has come from industry shifts, business performance challenges, dealing with growth, managing business integrations or handling the launch of new and innovative services. I have met many leaders and professionals, established some great friendships and critically never stopped learning. I have been lucky enough to experience a number of transformations, big and small and there have been two constants that I have observed in all of my work. Firstly, the criticality of technology; its ability to make a significant, positive impact to customer, organisation and individual alike when delivered well and its equal ability, when it goes wrong, to frustrate many and potentially cripple a business.
Secondly, and perhaps somewhat obviously, the importance of people; their ability to perform at the top of their game, to work as a team and their commitment to the organisation and each other in order to ultimately deliver for the customer. By realising the full potential of both technology and people, and the amplifying benefit of enabling genuinely collaboration between people, and across teams, extraordinary results can be achieved for both the individual and the organisation. The Hyperforma blog discusses many of the observations and learnings across my career so far and has contributions from a number of trusted colleagues as guest bloggers.
